raisintorte: Five times Ronon went on missions with Lorne's team (and they all came home in one piece. For the most part.)
... which I am sort of cheating on. The first one got spun off into Ex Nihilo, the last one failed to materialize, and you may or may not find some of this triptych a little familiar.

I enjoyed this a lot. The thing about "like one of your lieutenants" and the reaction took me a second, and then I cracked up. Seeing the alternate perspective on some of your other stories was a lot of fun, and your characterization -- of individual characters and groups such as the military, military branches, other worlds, etc. -- is wonderful as always.

The way I've constructed Ronon, as having come from an advanced people and then brought low by his experience as a Runner, makes for (what I hope is) an interesting perspective -- he has insight, but ultimately is still baffled by these strange people.

Thanks.

The Atlantis Expedition has been baffling people since they arrived and continued exposure doesn't seem to help much. Fortunately, they're friendly and personable. Usually. Heh.

I'm not usually particularly interested in Ronon, but I really enjoyed his look at the world.

Great stories. I especially liked the "like one of your lieutenants" bit.

Oh, if Ronon only understood that that was the very last answer he should have given...

Thanks. :)

These are really great. I've always enjoyed your original characters, and now Ronon's perspective on them. :)

I always love reading your Ronon. And I'm going to have to mark the second one for next time I'm feeling low--between the marines finally getting some use out of one of those boats, the surreptitious food-swapping, the OMG children clustering around Ronon, and the totally-did-not-see-it-coming joke at the end, it is MADE OF HAPPY.

The POV prevented me from showing the utter glee the marines had at finding out that they could take a Zodiac with them. Ortilla was trailing his boat along behind him like it was the best prize in the world. ;)

I honestly didn't plan on the lieutenant joke, but I realized that it was there at the end and...
