Dah! You left the end open!!

::dies::

Regardless of the ending (stab stab stabbity), this was a great way to get into some of the characters' heads. This last section turned out very believable--Teyla sounded in character. Trying to get into her head is so...well, there's not a whole lot to base it on from canon. Especially this season.

But, what you did create, and the reasons she had for not taking Toran to the mainland felt right.

Hey, anyone who wants to write an ending is encouraged to do so. :)

Teyla... yeah. The first draft sounded like The World According to Mr. Spock and... bleh. I'm glad it worked out.

thanks

A very nice ending -- and I love that you left it open. :)

I know you struggled with Teyla's section of the fic, but I think it came out nicely. Her relationship with her people is so important to her, and you captured that very well.

Thank you. Teyla... every time I try to write her, I swear that I'll never do it again. And then I forget and the vicious circle starts once more. Even if we haven't seen the Athosians in two seasons, we know that they're still there and that she thinks of them.

Great story. This may be my favorite part, even above the Sheppard-Sumner conversation; Teyla's background and her relationship with other Athosians is a fascinating area the show itself mostly ignores. You do her justice.

They brought back Christopher Heyerdahl as a Wraith rather than as Halling, which says more than anything else about where they rank the Athosians -- we'll find out sometime in Season Four that they all got wiped out in a monsoon or something. That said, I'm very heartened to hear that Teyla sounds like herself.

Thank you.

i don't know if you ever watched the original cast of sliders, but the end reminded me of an episode. they get home, but the main character goes home and opens the gate, which has just been greased, and thinks that he's not home. turns right around and leaves.

i know that they aren't that close to being home, but that's kinda what it felt like.

^o^ this was awesome. thank you for sharing.

I've never seen Sliders, but I remember when it was on.

Great story! :)

"I recorded a video to get sent back to Earth. A kind of goodbye to his parents. The me from this reality didn't even have a death letter to send home."

Love this part! It's Perfect!
