Technology must die.

I'm not  feeling very charitable toward computers right now.

I went to the school library this morning to do some research for my paper for World Music, due on Monday.  I collected some information and started to type my paper.  I wrote a rather good opening paragraph, if I do say so myself.  Then I ran out of time and had to leave, so I saved it on my flash drive and went merrily on my way.  I finally got around to working on it again just now.  I put my flash drive in my computer, copied the file to MS Word, and went to open it.  But noooo, the computers have MS Office 2007, which is lovely and new, but apparently documents created in it don't work in MS Word 2003.  Unless you download a compatibility pack, which will take a certain amount of time.  And my dad might kill me... he doesn't like it if I download stuff without asking him.  All of this means that either I can't work on my paper until my dad gets home (which will probably be fairly soon, but it's already 9:30 and I'm hoping to go to bed in an hour or so), or I have to start over from scratch, which is a royal pain in the bum.

Blasted technology.  We hates it, precious.
