well drama is bound to erupt at some point and usually i am one to avoid this, as I feel everyone should have their own experience with what is being discussed as thats what I do. Just because I have heard some things about people on the internet or whatnot I do not let that inform my opinion of the person, I will meet them and form my own opinion

One of the thing that irritates me more than anything is people in a "proffessional" capacity that dont do their jobs properly, this applies to all aspects of my life. Michael Towers is one of these people- he was in charge of the set up yet had no plan of what needed doing, even when pressed he couldn't tell us, he didn't even have everything required to set up the technology they where using
I think most people would tell you that I am quite a patient person and it normally takes a while to realise if someone is bad to work with but he achieved it in less than an hour! I have never been so completely annoyed by someone so quickly
went along to the set-up thinking that it would be good to actually meet some people before Alcon. I had started to worry about Alcon because of the attitudes on the AL boards which mandy has already mentioned (particularly the organisation of the accomadtion and the irresponsible attitude to drinking from mr towers himself- dont get me wrong I like a drink, but he is in a position of trust
promoting drinking to excess, not eating and not sleeping is never good) Most of them where rude and clicky and there was one or two times i really wanted to say "Listen you little shit, I've organised events/fairs and much much more. Just because I'm new to your little club does not give you the right to boss me around and be rude".
For example being told to organise a table for the gaming area but when i asked what needed to be on it I didn't get an answer more than i dunno and then getting criticised because it wasn't done. All the afternoon did was confirmed my fears about Alcon and then mandy tells the rest anyway. I know everyone from AL isn't like that but they are the people he chooses to organise/run events with-
not a great sign
Now this ridiculousness over Towers possibly attending Kitacon is just that- ridiculous. He is one person and the way people threaten him just makes him look like a victim, which is only going to make him look better to his flunkies. The first day at Aya we walked into the pub and he was there at the bar, I think we had been joking about bumping into him as we were heading there too . . .
after that we saw him standing ALONE at one of the parties and there was a hilarious near miss at the bus stop but we hardly saw him. He has as much right as the rest of us to pay and attend- his cash only goes towards making the con better for all, IF he gets a place at all. Yeah the AL-ers might be loud and immature but if they are causing trouble they will be dealt with.
