Hello, Thrill of the Hunt
I told you I’d hate you when you returned. xD Actually, yesterday was a pretty awesome day, despite the fact my awkward nature cost me my DOTM Shocky. I was at Target.. bright and early. They hadn’t even put them out, yet, but the boxes were all there. I was going to wait around until after they stocked them, so I could jump at the fresh pickings, but I was on my grandpa’s time. Instead, I decided to scurry along to the Walmart up the street. Thought I was out of luck there too, then glorious Cybertronian tattoos caught my eye. And, all my nervousness melted away when I picked him up. <3 Doritoscream is obviously a cure. Or, my fan girlish ways are. Hearing the little “You came for me!” voice inside my head. It’s too adorable... and soothing. I then proceeded to dig through all the voyagers for a Shockwave. No such luck. Looked back up at the deluxes and saw a Crankcase staring at me. Er.. calling to me. Since, you know, he’s in vehicle mode and can’t exactly “stare”. Grabbed him, then started looking through all the new stuff just to see what else they had that I might not be able to live without. Found the little Cyberverse Blackout and Scorpy set that I didn’t even know was going to be out today and, of course, snatched it at lightning speed. xD Did a double check for Shocky, then headed for the check out. Almost satisfied.
Fast forward to later in the day when my dad got home. I had some important business to take care of, but it meant we’d be out, so I got to go back to Target after said business was taken care of. I was feeling a little too confident about getting my Shocky. Went back to the toy aisle and found Skyhammer... Shockwave’s case mate... taunting me. Had a major sad due to the fact that if I hadn’t of been so damn nervous during the first Target trip, I would have been holding a Shockwave in my paws. =/ Practice, practice, Kitten. Anyways. My sad was still setting in, but I snagged the Robo Fighters Doritoscream figure and Legends Crowbar. They were too cute to pass up.
After coming home, I snapped myself back into my positive spirits and reminded myself that I should feel good about what I DID get. Plus, I should savor the Thrill of the Hunt. If I had picked everyone I wanted up today, the fun would already be over. I will have my Shocky in my paws soon. <3 Just got to practice more patience.
Now, my thoughts on my new additions? Firstly, I’m absolutely thrilled to be hunting and getting new movie toys, because I just love my overly flawed Bayverse. xD The ones I got are this little team in my head. The new Doritoscream, who will be properly named soon, is their leader. (Comic is coming, I assure you.) Doritoscream is also the bulk of the team or their defender. Crankcase is their very bitter (Hasbro’s fault. Fuckers CUT OFF his fingers!) spy and infiltration unit. Scorpy is, of course, the fluffy (Don’t look too much into that word for him.) pet of the group, who warns of impending doom. Blackie’s his master, but he usually stays on Doritoscream’s shoulder. Blackie is small, but he’s proven to be quite the toughie. He is Doritoscream’s most loyal minion. (Typing that sentence was overly hilarious to me, considering the real Blackout and Starscream’s relations.) The Robo Doritoscream is a greedy spoiled brat, but manages to make up for it in the cuteness department. He is the Starscream to Doritoscream. (Oh, yeah. xD) He’s tried to take lead of the team on more than one occasion already, and they haven’t even been here for a whole twenty-four hours! Lastly, Crowbar. He’s incredibly intelligent and serves as Doritoscream’s right hand mech with the decision making for the good of the DOTM team. When not with Doritoscream, he’s usually at Crankcase’s side for protection. He’s not much of a fighter.
My little Raven has taken a strong liking to this group. Raven has been kind of an outsider since she got here. Not really latching on to anyone outside of her sister. And, Emily has become quite acquainted with Olbern, who is on Mur’s team, and almost left poor Raven in the dust. >.> So much for Raven and me keeping Emily away from the evil toys. *sigh* I just hope Raven has finally found her place in the collection. <3
Also, in DOTM news, Sentinel Prime still tempts me with his perverted looking self. Every Sentinel I saw called to me, forcing me to look at them. Wanting me to cave and want to buy them. >.< LEAVE ME ALONE, PERV!!!
