On nursing
I had another awesome week of clinical today. I passed my physical assessnent comptency on my first try today! I was sure I was the last person to do a comptency but she told me no one has passed yet. I told her that I didn't finish all of my comptencies till the last day and she was surprised. After I finished my assessment and met up with my instructor out of the patient's room, she was all prasies for me! She told me that I did the best physical assessment she has ever seen in Nursing 292. She told me I had a great attitude, I let the patient talk while still gathering the data I needed, and I was great. I had the biggest smile on my face. I was so excited. I couldn't believe it. I did so poorly last semester and I'm getting nothing but good feedback from not only my instructor but my nurses too. My nurse today told me she thought I was confident, eager, and knew what I was doing. She told me she thinks I'm gonna be a good nurse.
God is so good and wonderful and faithful to me. I prayed before I went into the patient's room for Him to be with me and He got me through it! School is hard work but I'm getting through it all. And I just love being in clinical and with my patients. Course, the paperwork and exams are killer but it won't last forever. Two weeks down, fourteen more to go. And having God by my side through it all will make it all easier. Damn I'm so happy.
