This a drabble for a prompt left by
radondoran on
a ficlet meme back in... February 2011. *hides in embarrassment* My excuse is that I had an idea for a longer story, but then I got stuck on it and was never able to finish. But I did want to write something for this fandom, and so I ended up with a drabble after all.
Title: Bound
Fandom: Crime and Punishment
Pairing: Raskolnikov/Razumikhin
Rating: General
Word Count: 100
Summary: Raskolnikov will be free soon; Razumikhin might never be.
Notes: For
radondoran, with apologies for the lateness.
Raskolnikov's face was gaunt, but his eyes seemed almost at peace now, after years in prison. "I thank you for coming," he said.
Razumikhin nodded. "You will be free soon," he said, all too aware of the longing in his voice.
"My brother." Raskolnikov's smile was as tender as it hadn't been for years. "I do wish..."
Dmitri Prokofich also wished for many things, though he knew they must remain unspoken.
He kept his eyes closed as he lay in bed with his wife that night, for he already knew every feature of her face, which so resembled her brother's.
