Oh, and since I'm in the mood for a meme -- here's the one that was going around a couple of months ago:
Name a fandom, and I'll give you the scoop on at least three of my unpopular opinions related to that fandom.
There again, some folks just dislike slash and use the wizardly celibacy clause to insist that Le Guin agrees with them.
Because the celibacy clause was obviously invented to prevent people from writing canon-compliant stories about the wizards of Roke getting it on with each other...
Seriously, though, wasn't Morred a mage? And married to Elfarran? How do the celibacy proponents (inside and outside the books) explain that?
As for 3, I suspected that one might not be so unpopular, after all. :-) Although it might have been, considering the very small number of Jasper fic...
And Yuletide -- well, I've actually been contemplating it seriously these last couple of weeks, to the extent of reading all the FAQ so as to understand how the whole thing works. (As with everything enormous and complicated, Yuletide is a little intimidating.) I'm really tempted, but I'll have to make the final decision when the sign-ups open.
