a few random things

Well I had a job interview today at the Barber Center to work at their Connections camp, which is a therapeutic camp for children with high functioning autism and ausbergers syndrome (a type of autism). It went really well, and one of the two ladies I interviewed with said that she'd let me know when they make their final decisions, but she thinks I have a very good chance, which is good, because I know I'm not going to get a lot of hours at Big Lots again this summer.

Hopefully by the end of next week I will have a car. My mom and I went car shopping yesterday. I test drove a 2001 Pontiac Grand Am (blue). We had our mechanic look at it, and it needs new rotors (within the next 6 months), and two new front tires and new wiper blades. The dealer said he would replace the wiper blades. So if they wont replace either the rotors or the two tires, then we wont get it, and I'll have to keep looking. We're probably going back out tomorrow to see what else we can find. So maybe some day soon you'll read an excited update about me getting a car.

For those of you who are curious about how my uncle is doing, here is part of an email update my aunt just sent out. For those of you who have no clue what I'm talking about, my uncle just started chemo and radiation in the last few weeks. But here's the update "David is doing good. He had his third treatment of chemo on Monday. The only side effect he has so far is heart burn. The nurse told him to get some Pepcid AC from the store. That seems to be working well. He hasn't lost any hair (thats left on his head) [side note: my uncle is pretty much bald already] and his appetite is still really good. He actually gained about 10 lbs since starting the treatments. The nurse told him at the beginning that since he would would lose his appetite he should try to eat as much as he can and have as many calories as he wants. He took that to heart and is eating everything in sight, hence the 10 lbs. With him eating so well his white blook count should stay higher and hopefully will help fight against the tumor. He will be dong chemo and radiation treatments through June 3. He is going to ask the oncologist next week when they will plan on going in with a scope to see if the tumor has shrunk."
Please be keeping my aunt and my uncle in your prayers. Thanks :)

Thats about all I have for now!
