Spiderman the musical

So I caved. Went and saw Spiderman 3 tonight.

Things I liked:

Parker Posey. Yes, those three scenes were all about you.
Kirsten's voice. Not bad. Don't release a cd and shut up about smoking pot, but not as bad as I was expecting. Reminded me of Zooey's in Elf.
Kirsten wearing a bra. The world must be coming to an end.
Bryce as a blonde. Bless.

I liked the 3rd one - sure it wasn't as good as the 2nd one, but it beat X-Men 3, Superman Returns and a lot of other 3rd movies in a "trilogy" (aka "Batman Forever")

Oh I liked it. But only liked. I didn't think it was much to write home to mother about. And I would have been fine just to catch it on dvd. Better than the first and probably the second too, for different reasons than the first.

Okay, X-Men 3 - woe to Brett Ratner...and I loved Superman Returns.

The pre Batman Begins franchise gives me the heebie jeebies. Ick.

Peter's whole "emo tool strutting down the road thrusting at females" thing was absolutely bizarre. I was sitting in the theatre wondering what the hell they were smoking when they wrote and filmed that scene. Gah.

James does look weird when he smiles, doesn't he? And him smiling reminds me of Freaks and Geeks for some reason.

Did Peter and Harry working together at the end not make you squee? Because I totally did.

I was cringing. It didn't make me laugh - my face was screwed up. Not that I could see it, but I could feel my forehead and eyes squinching, lol. I didn't think it was nessecary, tbh - I mean, what was the point?? Although I did snigger at him thrusting his way into the shop with SALE brandished all over it. TIGHTASS!!

YES! HE DOES!! Somebody else notices! His face looks full and human when he's not smiling, then when he does, his cheeks and eyes kind of shrink and he's all lines and triangle shape. I think the hairstyle of Harry contributes too. He needs more hair around the face...

Noooootttt really. It was sooo obvious that it was going to happen. I might have done a quarter of a "yaaay!", but that was all. I got more excited at the sight of Bruce Campell..which should really be cause for concern, in hindsight...:0

Hee, I didn't even notice that. But think, he lives in that shitty apartment, even if he is Spider-man, he still doesn't have any dosh to go wasting. Even while EmoEvil.

This is the pic I was talking about from F&G:

Okay, my heart stopped and I'm now 80, instead of 20.

Geez.

Some people just should not be allowed to be that happy.

Yeah, I know that he's probably poor and all, but the juxtapose of him being all 'smooth', then going into a sale tickled me pink. And that chick that lives across from him on his floor? FUNNY.
