My calculus teacher is a man trying way too hard to compensate for everything by making his students feel like shit. Today I was on the blunt end of his mocking.
Yes, I know that a circle won't always have more area than a square. Squares can be bigger. Thank you captain obvious. All I was saying is that a square with the same perimeter as the circumference of a circle will have less area than said circle.
And when a test question asks you to find the maximum area that can be made by a 4 foot rope to form a circle and a square, doesn't that usually entail that you must form both a circle and a square, and not only a circle?

I am going to have to have a word with the Mathematics dean

But on a better note, I'm hope, hope, hoping that all of the attempts from the NOAA to get me to complete my scholarship application, even though it is a month past the due date means that I am very close to getting that $8,000 scholarship and paid internship for 2 summers!
