Well, my brain's broken (i blame the plane, and lack of sleep), i'm going to jot the highlights of my trip down in dot points.
- Met tonnes of awesome people that i never expected, now instead of having 3 friends up there i have about 10. (Just for the record drinking with gay guys = awesome! They were actually down to earth!)
- Drank waaay too much while i was up there, i swear i only intended on drinking once, but ended up drinking 7 out of the 10 days i was there. (Dude, zoolander drinking game! We did 1/2 shots every time he posed or they said his name...ooooh the drunkness..followed by fingerpainting of course! Lovin' it!!)
- Went shopping heaps but came back with very little, by far the highlight was finally getting this beautiful eyeshadow. I swear it sounds stupid, but i've been wanting to get this stuff since i was up there last april, it's theatre stuff and it's to die for.
- Formed a new appreciation for dancey music (you can tell i hung out with gay guys) and more so a love for the band Panic! at the Disco, it's punky but technoey but dancy and all-round addictive. I swear i haven't stopped listening to it since i got the cd.
- Humidity + alcohol - sleep - food + 2 plane trips = me being easily twice as sick as when i left. I'm going back to the doctor's again thursday to get it checked out, if he can't tell me what's wrong i'm going to ask for a blood test. This is crazy, it's been going for almost 6 weeks now!
- While i was away i bought Dylan Moran tickets (for many kiddies), and this makes me very very happy. :D
I love watching the clouds when i fly, it's just stunning. I was dissappointed that i was on the wrong side of the plane to catch the sunset, but next time i'll organise that better. I still loved it.
This was inside a theatre on queen st mall - i was amazed to find it there considering queen st is like our bourke st, only with all the flinders street kids. From the outside it looked like a normal cinema too, it was such a nice little secret.
This was so classic, my cousin rach (in the second photo) and i had just been talking about being irish and putting on bad accents when we stumbled across this, it's just so cheezy.
Oh man, "gardening" my ass! (.... ...) the store clerk got pretty suss when she realised i was taking photos, but i couldn't help myself.
This place was awesome, they made the smooooothest chocolates, the cointreau one was to die for. Hell expensive of course, but damn tasty.
This was the first fake tatt i got, just because i like frogs (oh! so deep)
This was for a mate of mine because apparently it means "energy" and he's nearly always chopped.
If you can't read it it says "PANIC", it was for my cousin (clay) and my mate anj, because they both love Panic! at the Disco and i thought it would look cool (dude it looked awesome, i wish i could've kept it til i got home) - and if you couldn't tell that's up on my back, so it was pretty big.
This was for my cousin (rach) because we'd been looking at our family crest (McKeown) the day before and it had these guys on it, and she'd said if she ever got a tattoo it'd have to be sparkly.
This was sunset on my last day there, i thought it was too good to miss.
Ok so when the folks went away we got a bit merry and started labelling things with post-it notes - it got a bit of out hand and before we knew it we'd labelled about 30 things in the kitchen alone..
"Hi Mr Fan!" "Hi Mr Roof!" - These were actually insanely hard to put up, i think it involved a trampoline..
We couldn't resist, it was funny at the time..
By the end all of the appliances were labelled with the most obvious things.
These were attatched to my back for a good portion of the night before i realised..
I hate goon, but i had to get this in celebration of the dylan moran tickets.
Meet Jimmy & Tom, half of the lovely gay crusade i ended up getting drunk with and staying with for two days hanging out with while i was there.
I love this photo, you can see the booze in his eyes...
This is dave, i swear he looks much lovelier when he's dressed and stuff, but he'd just run home with a slab of beer.
My fave photo from the night, he was pretty merry by this stage..
I <3 Bernard. I can't wait! *tear*
