So, I'm going to build my own website. My parents have already agreed to get me Dreamweaver MX for my birthday along with "Dreamweaver MX for Dummies". : )
To make my site unique, I'm going to have artwork commissioned of me in different poses/roles I want to do. I've already asked
kriscynical to do the artwork and she's agreed, which is ah-some. I'm going to have to have one piece done every few months until I have one for each of the following pages:
Welcome/Main
Resume
Gallery
Media (?)
Links
Contact
I plan on having them sort of off to the left side of the pages...but I'm having some trouble coming up with what exactly I want on each page. Here's what I have so far:
* Welcome/Main: some sort of classic 'theatre' pose, be it a Fosse pose or something like me in audition jeans, black shirt and heels sitting on a stool or standing in a spotlight. The Welcome page would be a little portion of the Main (like my eye, my hand, etc).
* Resume: another sort of iconic theatre pose. A few I'm considering are Maggie leaning against the bedframe from "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof", some sort of Shakespearan pose (like Ophelia), or something similar. I just want somethig not children's or musical theatre oriented. I'm open to other thoughts and suggestions. Please help!!
* Gallery: Something fun and whimsical. Morgan le Fey, Puck, Ondine, that sort of thing. Maybe something similar to Jane Krakowski as Christmas Past, a sort of fairy/nymph rising out a candle flame and her legs and dress blending into it...failing that, some sort of saucy showgirl, chorine or vaudeville thing.
* Media: I'd love to do one of Cassie's poses from "Music in the Mirror" (if I decide against doing a media section or hold off on it, I may use this pose for the Gallery section)
* Links: Okay, this is my FAVORITE one. "A Christmas Carol" is a show very near and dear to my heart. I hope to have her draw me as Jacob Marley, holding chains (links, get it?) with a look like "Tee hee, I put on Marley's costume and it just so happens to fit me".
* Contact: something like me walking out a stage door or at a make-up table. Similar to the stills of Naomi Watts in her dressing room in "King Kong" but in modern clothing...or maybe we sitting at my computer, surrounded by things that reflect my various interests....
Thoughts? Comments? Suggestions? All are welcome.
Thanks!! : )
