Urinetown - The Musical

So my brother was in a play this past weekend, "Urinetown". It was really really good! It's a musical and I have to say I was quite entertained. It's about a town where you have to pay a fee to go to pee. =3 If you don't pay the fee but instead pee in public, in the bushes, in your pants, etc... then you are shipped off to Urinetown. I want to see Wicked! I'll be on the lookout for Urinetown, I love musicals (I blame my mother for making me listen to the Phantom of the Opera at age six) D:

Lol, I love your mom! Phantom of the Opera is amazing. Urinetown is hilarious with serious undertones, way better than what I thought and different than what I was expecting. Everyone I know who has seen Wicked is crazy about it, I'm so jealous.

See, I'm from Miami and we lived out on farmland, so we had to do a lot of driving. With the horrendous traffic we would usually spend two, sometimes four hours in the car per day. So my mom would buy soundtracks to almost every Broadway musical that came out and play them for us to pass the time. It's really influenced me, I just made an AMV to a song from a random musical! And I really want to make a Chibiusa/Helios one to "All I Ask of You" (because it's one of the best love songs ever written)! Yeah, I'm strange.

My sister lives in Chicago and has seen Wicked more than once. I'm jealous too.

Teehee, you totally should~ I really need to work on my AMV skills, I would waste so much time doing it. I'm in love with the theatre so I'm super happy my brother followed into doing it~ Your sister is so lucky! We use to live in Maine about 6 hours from NYC and so we'd try to go see a play at least every 6 months. It's so expensive to do anything nowadays tho, so I mostly have to watch manga & read anime to help me play pretend. XD

It's an excellent way to waste time^_- Anime and manga is definitely a nice substitute, though I'm not sure it's cheaper! Though I got my Right Stuf order today (Bargain Bin Blowout!), so I have plenty of anime to get me through Thanksgiving.

I'll get around to making that AMV one day, it's on the list (it is a rather long list, though).

Lol, I just noticed my "watch manga and read anime" comment, ah I should proofread... See I mostly read everything online, borrow from friends/brother and if I like/love it I'll buy it later. And anime wise I actually don't like too much because I'm a huge manga follower and then I get disappointed by the quality of the anime. I really want Darker than Black tho &hearts . I don't save more money in the long run. ^__^ But $10 to $20 here and there is easier to come up with than $80. *proofreads*

I noticed that, it made me smile (stupid LJ, only letting people with paid accounts edit comments!). I watch a lot online too, and I read most manga in stores/borrow from the library. I'm a serial rereader.watcher, so if I really like something I have to have it. I agree, it's easier to buy things a little at a time, though sometimes you can get a good deal by buying in bulk. I'll probably put a big order in after Christmas/birthday and then not buy much for six months.
