More glass - woven plates
Another woven plate - this time in black & clear stripes.
The little spots in the upper left corner were in the glass prior to firing, but became more apparent after firing. I still like the piece.
And now, an epic fail. I'm still not sure why this happened.
If you click on the picture, you'll see a larger image and you can see the top piece of glass cracked in an almost full circle. The bottom piece of glass cracked also. Prior to the 2nd firing (the slumping into a sushi plate), the glass appeared to be fine. I don't think the piece is salvageable, but I may see if I can cut the pieces down to small squares and see what I make out of them.
Ok, now I need to get back into the studio and cut some glass for new plates. The Sonora Celtic Festival is next weekend and we're leaving next Thursday night, so I only have one more week to get pieces done. I hope to have a new piece to show you by Monday morning.
