Wow.. yeah it's been a while since I updated last, and I promise to do better about this as the summer progresses. So much has gone on, but yet at the same time, so little has also.
I had to say good-bye to one of the sweetest, funniest and most interesting people I've met so far while I've been in college, "The Turkish Mal", My Aysegul! It's crazy just how close you can become with someone that you really have nothing in common with as far as backgrounds. She's from a large city in Turkey and here I am a rural country girl, and yet we just clicked!! I'm going to miss her sooooo much!! It was all I could do to hold back the tears as I helped her move the last box out of her dorm. I just want you to know that I'm missing you like crazy Aysegul, and even though we're literally MILES, and MILES apart, you've changed my life. I love you!! Can't wait to see in August!
But anyway...
My summer so far has been spent with my most favorite person in the world.. My Jon! Lord, I didn't realize it was possible to love someone more and more with every second, but I do. It's like we could spend 24 hours straight together with NO SLEEP (which was done last week) and still NOT want to say goodbye when the time comes. I'm amazed everyday at just how PERFECT we are for each other. I'm just about positive that anyone that has been around us more than 5 minutes would agree.. =)
We've spent the last few nights on campus at UVA-Wise playing tennis and walking around the track and lake. Trying to shed a few pounds before we go to Myrtle Beach and Orlando at the end of June. I'm determined to atleast get off these last 5-8 pounds that are REFUSING to leave my thighs and lower back!! Let's hope it works. I've not had a Coke in a week now, and it's getting a little easier, but at the beginning wasn't so sure I'd be able to stop cold turkey. haha Alright enough about this...
Today, Jon and I went up to my dad's gravesite which I hadn't been to since he passed away. Jon hadn't ever seen where he was buried and I thought it to be about time that he had. It's hard to believe that he's been gone for 5 years now. So much has changed. I've changed so much as a person. I think he'd be really proud of all that I've accomplished in school, community and my personal life. It makes things so much easier when I know he'd be happy with who I've become.
One fo my other very best friends, Rebekah, which feels more like my very close little sister, graduates on Thursday, and I wouldn't miss it for the world. I'm so proud of you sweetie!!
And then I know I'll have to get Jon to follow me over to Kingsport sometime this week, possibly Friday to take my car and have it worked on. Go figure... Volkswagen has a recall. OK, if you own a VW, I'm sorry! If you don't own one.... DON'T, EVER!!! lol I can't wait until I graduate and have a "real job" so I can trade mine in and get something totally different and totally AMERICAN!! GO GM!! haha
OK, well that's a pretty good update..
Now it's off to bed..
COMMENTS ARE NICE!!
