St Patrick's Day Yarn

Mar 06, 2006 12:37

I have been busy spinning St Patrick's Day yarn as I recover.

Here is a group shot:

From the top:
Kelly & spring green and white merino plied with green cotton thread & theme fabric.
Lucky Shamrock: white merino plied with white cotton & gold threads, green ribbon, and shamrock fabric.
Irish Flag: heathered kelly green, white, and heathered orange striping single ply.
Kelly Green: kelly green merino plied with gold threads and green & white beads.
Luck of the Irish: white Blue-faced Leicester wool plied with green rayon & gold threads and green ribbons.
Pot of Gold: Heathered colors emulating the pot at the end of the rainbow.

I knit up one color cycle of Pot of Gold:

Unfortunately, the colors look a little washed out here and the greens & purples are bluer than in real life. The "pot" portion has gold flash carded in and $ sequins.

I had a lot of fun making these. I'll be posting them at Dea Terra Creations this afternoon.
