I miss LiveJournal circa 2002-2004. I had so much fun making new friends on here. It was way more interesting and meaningful than, say, Facebook or Myspace (or Friendster - remember that mess?). Don't get me wrong, I love getting my Facebook on as much as anyone. It's just - it lacks substance. I miss reading stories and aimless incessant rants as opposed to a few short lines about the wait at the DMV or "yay it's the weekend" - both of which I've been guilty of posting about on Facebook. I feel like Livejournal was a place I used to go to be entertained. It was a place where I could pick the brains of my fellow LJ-ers and actually learn something about myself or society. I found so many people on here who inspired me. I suppose in this age of instant gratification and time equaling money more than ever, we have convinced ourselves that we don't have time to keep up with a blog. Then again, people do it every day. Even though no one may be reading, I think I'm going to try to post here more often. It'll do me some good to get things off my chest and get the brain juices flowing.
