I don't know how I do it. Somehow or other, I manage to sustain minor injuries that I have no idea how I acquire. Even though said injuries should cause pain at the time of their acquisition, I never know i[ve hurt myself until I see a giant bruise somewhere, or notice that my skin/clothes feel a bit wet, and notice that I've cut myself.
This time, I managed to score myself a gigundo scratch on my left upper leg. Seriously, this scratch is the fize of my hand. But of course, I have no idea what happened. All I know is that on Sunday night, I noticed a smear of blood on my leg as I put on my pj's that night. I cleaned it up and pretty much forgot about it until now.
It didn't hurt when it happened, and it didn't hurt yesterday. But now this SOB hurts like a *mother*. The mere movement of my leg, or the friction generated by putting on pants makes me wince in pain. I hope it's not getting infected. I don't see hopw it could be -- I washed the scratch thoroughly as soon as I noticed it, and have kept it covered by a coat of antibacterial ointment. Ick. I guess I'll apply an extra coat of bacitracin and a bandage, and keep an eye on it. I love pirates and all, but I think I'll pass on the peg leg.
