The Lewiston Civic Theater put an ad in the paper for actors to participate in a Traveling Troupe. So, I went ahead and auditioned and I got in!!! We will start on Monday. After President's Day we will begin doing short performances for some of the Lewiston Elementary schools and then doing acting workshops with the schools that want us to do that as well. It should be fun.
We are going to be doing a short 30-minute play about a family of actors putting on a performance of Hansel and Gretel. Jackie - who is writing it - is still in the process of writing it and will be tailoring the parts to suit each of us. Originally, she'd planned on having two little girls and a little boy being the children, but since only boys showed up we will work with that. She's probably going to write it into the script that they fight over who has to play Gretel. Ha ha! I can't wait to see what she comes up with.
