Saw Harry Potter.
:/
Three things really, really got to me:
1. Harry and Ginny's "kiss" and "relationship", if you can even call them that. That was the most pathetic kiss I've ever seen!!! The one in the book was much more cinematic, so why did they change it?! Ugh, makes me mad. Plus, that kiss was the extent of their weak relationship in the movie. What the HELL?!
2. The very end. IT'S A TRIO!!! NOT A DUO PLUS ONE!!! It was all Harry/Hermione, with Ron sitting like a lump in the background the whole time. Did he even say anything?! I can't remember. PISSED OFF! That was not a good way to leave the movie for me. I left the theater practically seething.
3. Okay, I know they always say you can't fit everything from the book into the movies, but when you add stupid scenes that aren't even in the book (ATTACKONTHEBURROW), that excuse doesn't really fly anymore. That whole thing was a big waste of time, imo. And why did they just stand there watching their house burn to the ground?! They're wizards! Pull out your wands and make them into a freakin fire hose!!!
Other than those three very BIG things, I liked the movie. Mostly I liked all the humor, especially Harry under the effects of Felix Felicis. Jim Broadbent was hilarious, as was Jessie Cave. They kept the "er-my-nee" bit in, which pleased me greatly. Cormac was also super funny, which I wasn't really expecting at all. And Hermione looked so cute in her party dress! Wish we could have seen more of it when she wasn't behind a curtain. :P
So those are my thoughts. Disappointed all-in-all (Order of the Phoenix is still my favorite), but I still want to see it again! And I'm really, really, really ready for Deathly Hallows now. I'm going to try to put all my expectations out the window from now on so I won't be quite so disappointed, but I'm not sure if I can. As long as they do Ron right, I think I'll be okay. He needs his shining moments.
Let's see, what else?
My graphics journal has hit a speed bump because our new wireless internet is down. It will still be up soon, and I'm still working on a bunch of new stuff, but it won't be ready yesterday, like I thought it was going to be.
I knew there was something else I wanted to talk about, but I can't think of it! So I'll just leave you with this Deathly Hallows wallpaper I made and say goodbye. :)
