Shifted Spirit and Other Thoughts
If I were to choose a nickname in Spanish for my son it would be,"Mi grande amor."
I thought originally that it would be,"Mi pocito amor," because he is small, smaller than most people at 4 years old, but then I realized that he is the biggest love in my life. My love for my mother is different, not quite as conflict-ridden and intense.
Music. Music is the passion in my life. It's my heart, soul and blood. I grew up around my father who sang, played guitar, ukelale (sp?), keyboard, organ and bongo drums. I started my path in life with similar pursuits.
First voice, then, keyboards, then guitar, then turntables, now drums.
My point? The Mutaytor show I saw at Shoreline really effected me. Why shouldn't I pursue one of the greatest passions in my life as a career?
So, I decided to pursue music for real. Not neccessarily making it- because I have always been happy making it for mostly myself-but working in the field. Live shows, production, other things. I 've had some good suggestions from a regular of mine...I think they are good places to start investigating.
So, off I go, time to stop avoiding my most favorite thing in the world (because fear of failure will get you nowhere).
