Thanksgiving Essay
This morning Vivi read her essay about thanksgiving over the intercom at school. Her teacher thought that she had written a very nice essay (she is in first grade) and sent her to read it to the principal and to the sixth grade on Friday. The principal offered her the chance to read it to the school during announcements today. She spent the weekend oscillating between bouncing-off-the-wall excited and tears-and-shaking terrified. I was so glad to hear that she landed firmly on the excited side this morning. She read so well - I listened from the PTO room with the other moms - I am very proud of her (so were her sisters - their teachers both let them come down to Vivi's class after to give her congratulatory hugs).
