time for my monthly entry! I need to start doing this more! except 95% of the time that I'm on ma' lappy I'm nursing elliot and it's usually a tricky setup.
so we're all moved over!! and the apartment is perfect for us, I can't believe how at home I already feel here. all the sunlight and fresh air that come in is amazing! something I have learned though... hardwood floors look neat but every bit of dirt shows up. not to mention it sticks to your feet and then gets in the sheets... gross. but whatever, that's where slippers come in handy. I'm also having a hard time remembering that people can actually see into our apartment now... I keep forgetting that walking around in my skin really isn't the best thing to do. so... sorry, glisan traffic :(
more painting needs to be done, boxes need to be unpacked and pictures need to be hung. then I'll post pictures of our little nest 8D
school is alright. I can already feel the procrastination trying to take over. the classes seem interesting, the teachers all seem rad and... it's nothing like high school! I'm not sure what I expected college to be like exactly but I'm pleasantly surprised. it trips me out to see people my father's age sitting next to me, that's for sure.
pumping is a huge pain in the ass. I already carry so much shit on my back- 4 books, a change of clothes for yoga, the pump and it's charger, sometimes my laptop, and a cooler and ice packs to transport the milk in. D: I'd leave the laptop at home but I have a freakin five hour gap between my first and second class!! I need to get those saddle bags people attach to their bikes. I haven't even attempted to bring food for myself yet... but I digress, pumping! AUGH. then I'm only getting 2-3 oz. when he's at home drinking 3-4oz. one boob doesn't even let down for the damn thing. I'm this freak who refuses to give their baby formula though so I'll stick with it. it took me so long to register and get all finalized this summer (the whole, just having a newborn and all) so I got my last pick for classes. winter term I should be at the campus that's a 30 minute bike ride away vs. the one that's a 45 minute bike ride and then a 15 minute bus ride. I can try to get more back to back classes as well. so only 3 months and things will be infinitely easier!!
I hope where the wild things are doesn't suck. I mean, spike jonze has yet to let me down but all good directors go bad. I'm starting to think there's no way it can live up to the hype...
I'm like 10-20lbs away from fitting into a ton of clothes. I really hope biking 18ish miles a week and then 2 yoga classes will help. it definitely won't hurt...
the other baby...
I was pissed.
