Thanksgiving
How can you RUN OUT of volunteers?? Was there a sudden outburst of humanity?? Last year were were SHORT on staff by 15 people! I was hoping someone would back out at the last minute, but no, everyone has to be good as gold and stay working. Don't these people have plans?? Don't they have a family to eat food with??
Speaking of family, I had to spend my Thanksgiving with them. My Mother insisted that we have a traditional dinner, complete with a chef and everything, when my father shows up. I haven't seen him since the divorce was settled six months ago. They tried to make everything seem like it was all right, but they adventually did what they always do - bicker, bicker, and bicker some more, until my father left in a huff. After he went my mother got this strange look in her eyes, I've never seen it before, she usually shows fierce ambition through them, but it was different.. I can't explain. All I know is that something big is going to happen, and I'll get the full blow of the storm.
