Sugar, friends, and yarn. What more does a girl need?
Saturday was both fun filled and sugar packed. It was awesome! I got see Emily, Dani, and Matt AND I got to eat cake. We actually made a really quick decision about the three flavors we want and the design we're going to have. From top to bottom it's going to be lemon chiffon, caccata, and lemon poppyseed. They're all delicious. Obviously, it IS Papa Haydn. After that, we all (including my parents) went to lunch at the Limelight Cafe. My parents know the owner and he said he does wedding catering. (The caterer my mom has talked to a few times doesn't offer tastings which kind of makes me and Craig nervous.) And Eric, the owner, recently got married and he really didn't like his caterer so I feel like he'll do what we want. And he makes really good food.
Yesterday Craig and I carved our pumpkin. The top was six inches thick! And we got a garbage bag full of guts out of it. But it came out really well. We were able to fit three different designs on it.
My brain is kind of gone. I just realized. Ooh, I get paid on Friday so Dani and I are going to Yarn Garden Saturday. I'm way excited. I'm going to get all the yarn I need to make this sweater that I got a pattern for last year. Yay!
