Help with lj nonsense?

Can anybody please help me figure out commenting on here? Ever since the comment pages changed ages ago there are a few journals I can't comment on. Some  people's pages (eg mrsquizzical & barmy_bunk ) show up like the old comment forms and I can post a comment, but some (eg shinetheway ) show up with the blue and white boxy thing for comments and it won't let me use it. I'm trying to comment to you but I'v e got a tinypic image-moved-or-deleted message instead of a comment box. It's really weird!

I've been thinking about this and I wonder if it's the server we're on? I haven't a clue how you'd find it out, but mayge I'm on one server and barmy and mrsquizzical are on another? I'd report it to LJ support and see if they can fix it.

BTW the tinypic URL is still there in the comment field so I can't see what I'm typing, so I apologize for spelling errorrs. :/

Yep I'm getting the same tinypic thing. So weird, wtf?

Good idea though, I will find who to report it to tomorrow.

(Also, seeing as I can't comment to your post... glad your interview went well! Hope you settle in to study & everything. I'm sure you'll do awesome. :) And oh I love St Andrew's! It's not huge & intimidating like St Mary's is, it's kind of cosy & friendly. And I hope your vein punctures are ok! xo!)

Yeah, I'm getting the same thing, too, but I can type over it, which suggests that the page style you're using has an encoded background image which is no longer at that address on on tinypic.com.

Commenting, though, as you can see, is still possible.

I'm wondering if appending "&style=mine" to the URL will help you/

Thank you! I figured out how to change the style & now I'm going to change my journal's style to get rid of the titinypic problem.
