I'm outstandingly lucky.
Sometimes, you have a few moments that remind you how lucky you are.
Last night, I talked to Jonah for over an hour on the phone. Our conversation was never forced, nor was it entirely steeped in reminicing. We are friends, and I am glad of it.
Today, Sam sent me this
The picture is first session last year (you can see Eddie and Jessica in the background). The picture, with accompanying message, was submitted to PostSecret. But really, it's no secret. We are extrodinarily lucky to belong to such a family, and such a place that allows us to be happily ourselves. We are lucky that the friendships we make there continue to last and grow after we leave. We are lucky to have the warmth of the summer sun, and the memories of our laughter.
I know it may sound corny. But it is a blessing to me, being so far from home, to know that I have family and memories of love always.
