Brian's visit ends today, and it has been outstanding. It was a bit slow at first, as the weekdays are, but we did some fabulous Goodwill shopping to make up for it. Saturday was an epic day, involving Northwest Folklife Festival, dinner at Steve's, rolling down the hill at Gasworks Park (at 11:00pm), Dicks hamburgers, and frisbee on the ferry. Yesterday we went to
SIFF and saw Manufactured Landscapes with Ian, Christina, and Cory. Today, who knows. Kati has her car which makes life a little more challenging, but we'll figure it out. Brian's flight is at 10:56pm, so we've definitely got some time.
Tomorrow is the start of a 3-day teaching week, and then Saturday is a party at our grad director's house, and apartment hunting for Kati and I. Sunday is School Overnight Program Alumni day, where the kids can come back and bring their family and friends. I'm signed up to volunteer all day, which won't really be awesome, but I'll manage. Then my last off week, group camping for the weekend, team teaching with Sarah G, then graduation.
Holy moly.
Sometime between all that, Kati and I need to find a place to live. I need to pack my crap and get it into storage. Plus all the school work that is coming up to be due. Whoosh.
I can do it. I can do it.
