So, I've finally decided to write some stuff. As per usual, I kicked the idea that I was toying with in the balls, and ended up doing something totally random, with no plot or point in site. I just.....*sigh* I get frustrated with how I do things. But, here you guys go. Maybe you guys can tell me where I'm going with it.
Antonio grew up with his grandfather, and he loved him with every ounce of his being. He knew what it was to have family and love. And consequently, he knew what it was to fight for family, fight for love, as hard as his body would allow. He was carefree, and silly and cheerful, but God help you if you threatened his peace.
Ivan grew up with his sisters, and a tough, old man, no one quite sure how he related to the children. He grew up with fear. He grew up knowing that at any given second, his world could be blown apart. He had learned to treasure what was his, treasure it with all his being. He also learned that trust is something reserved for someone who he could be absolutely, positively sure that would not change. He was reserved and protective.
Alfred grew up with his brother, and two half cousins who couldn’t be any more different. He grew up with variety and love. He developed a sense of self righteousness that never completely went away. He learned that problems go away only by tackling them head-on. He knew that life wasn’t going to do you any favors. He also knew that you need to make your own happiness. He was lively, loud, and one of the only children that truly stayed young. He never lost all of his innocence.
Matthew grew with Alfred, and the same two half cousins. He grew up with love and not enough room. He learned that it’s okay to step aside and let the others have the spotlight. He knew that just because he was overshadowed, he was not ignored. He knew that it was never okay to break a promise. He was quiet, but strong. He had, and still has, a good heart.
Arthur grew up with a litter of cousins that he swore were never related to him. He learned that the world will never have enough people telling it how wrong it is. He knew that he was to be one of those people. He learned to not let anything ruin his sense of wonder. He knew that he wanted to be a leader. He knew that he had salt water running in his veins. He was insufferable, and damn proud.
Francis grew up with a lovely family. He learned to look for the beauty in all things. He also learned that you can never be too critical of something. He knew that he was meant for grand things in life. He learned that the enjoyment of life was nothing to be ashamed of. He was flamboyant, and a philosopher.
Ludwig grew up with his older brother. He learned what it was to be disciplined. He learned to respect the chain of command. He learned just how tough “tough love” could be. He learned to cherish the moments when his brother let him laugh and play. He was a little soldier, incapable of dealing with emotions.
