Oh my God! So the power went out for like an hour or better and I had checked out "The Vagina Monologues" from the library so I decided to sit down and read it. I LOVE THIS PLAY!! It is AMAZING! Seriously everyone should read it! If you haven't go-GO NOW!-get this play and sit down to read it. More enticing than Harry Potter you will want to read it all in one sitting. It's phenomenal--I no longer feel compelled to refer to my vagina as "down there". hehe :D I'll admit I thought it was ugly-but after reading this play I saw it in a whole new light (good lighting is key! lol)I never before considered the sociological and religious aspects of it. The vagina is like the "powerhouse" for all human life. It's not something to be ashamed of-heck men whip out their penises without qualm why should we be meek about ourselves?? Now I'm not going to go pee in public or anything I'm just using this as a point of comparison that women should be just as proud of their sexuality as men! This play is not just for women either-I believe men should read this play too. You'll learn a lot about women. If I have a son someday I'll make him read it! LOL And if I have a girl I will teach her to be proud of her body. And she'll read it too. For the ladies in the audience you'll feel very empowered after reading it. It's so amazing--I hope I have the opportunity to be in a production of it someday. (Wow, if my dad still judges me to this day for being a whore in a high school play imagine what he'd have to say about this! LOL) Really go read it! DO IT NOW!!! yes...Yes...YES!!! ;)
