It had taken her longer than she had thought that it would to get from Paris to Milieux and by the time that Christine arrived she was just relieved to get to the room where she had been assigned. Once she got there she placed her belongings down on the floor and sat down on her bed.

"Ahh, there you are. Miss Daae?"

Christine glanced up from her writing, "yes Monsieur?" she said quietly.

El held out a hand in greeting. "I'm the teacher in charge of this dormitory. I just came down to meet you and make sure you were settling in well."

Christine stood up and shook his hand, "I'm doing okay," she said.

"Just okay? Is there anything I can help you with?"

Christine nodded, "it's a little bit different to where I come from but I think I'll be okay," she said.

El nodded. "Well, I'm up in the attic if you need me for anything at all."
