Wow, you've been a lot of places in Europe! I hope you get to visit Asia soon.

And sorry about that tarring-and-feathering thing. :D
(The meme was totally random. Really.)

Finally! Someone who hasn't been to 20 countries and sipped champagne on a yacht. :D

...Sorry.

Don't worry, you and me both. :) Actually I'd like to visit Japan, just for a holiday, if that's possible.

Island semi-nations: Aruba, Grand Cayman.

Full nations: Canada, Mexico, Italy, Switzerland, Austria, the U.K. (England & Wales), France.

And, of course, I live in the U.S.

My next goal - Ireland.

Of course, I may buy Iceland if it achieves negative net worth.

Cool. Ireland sounds really interesting - I've heard it's grown rapidly. Also, it seems to have put all the fighting behind, so it's a role model for other countries caught in strife.
About Mexico...I've been wondering for a while now. Is it really a poor country? Or just the parts closest to the American border. Which would explain the illegal immigrants.
Poor Iceland...

Ireland, Iceland. Only a letter away, but so far apart. Unless you count that they're both European islands. :D

Mexico is a poor country. Terribly poor by U.S. standards. The illegal immigration is mostly for economic reasons. A lot of the money they earn here is wired back to Mexico to feed and clothe relatives.

Mexico could be a wealthy country, but the government is corrupt at multiple levels, and the economy seems to be an unhealthy mix of socialism, over-regulation, and crony capitalism.

Oh dear. In that case, as I've always said, the US government should open the borders to all - But no welfare or state-sponsored services.

I can understand people's worries about illegal immigrants being a burden on the welfare rolls, but that lies within the power of the giver to solve.
