My students are totally awesome, but they are not free from the very human tendency to spell big scientific words wrong. While marking a practise test on the topic of the human heart and circulation, I found these gems:
"Ventrical"
"Plumonary"
"Circulution"
"Haemogloben"
And, my favourite - "Haemogoblin"! Yes, beware the evil fiend that lives in your blood! :D
I don't remember how many times I had to write: "It's important to spell scientific terms correctly" when commenting, but it sure was a lot. :)
