Here I am in the big city. T-Dot. I've spent the last few days visiting with Adam and also seeing my mom and sister. We stayed in the Royal York, which is basically the Toronto equivalent of the Empress in Victoria. Quite the experience of being on the other side of classism. The glares we got. But we still managed to have quite a bit of fun as we sumersaulted across the floor and talked in posh English accents. We did facial masks and watched Hitch on the movie channel. All in all a grand night.
On Sunday night Adam and I went to Circo's, which is this cool little bar in Toronto that has about 80 different kinds of imported beer. Some Belgian beers have alcohol percentages as high as 12. The best beer we drank that night was called Dragon and was from Jamacia, so creamy and good. Then last night we ate cheese, drank wine and watched Harold and Kumar go to White Castle. So fun. Sunday night at the beer house was one of the best conversations I've had in a long time and it reminded me how much I love Adam. I wish we were closer in terms of place, but everytime we get together it's like there's been no time between us at all.
I'm leaving tomorrow for Holland/the Netherlands. I'm not sure why the name changed. I like the name Holland much better cause the Netherlands just reminds me of Beetlejuice and the little Hell place he lived in. Seems a long way off from the windmills and wooden shoes that I'm expecting to see in Holland.
