Title: Getting Tough
Characters: America, China
Challenge: 13: Spook
Bonus Words: pumpkin, terror, bones
Rating: T for language.
Summary: So, the world was watching the US Presidential Candidate debate, and China flinched at a certain line/argument being made.
A/N: I HAD to do this. It could not go unnoticed and if it has been done by someone before this, I’m sorry! No copying was intended. I loved that argument, though, the one about China. Just read on and you’ll know what I mean.

America and China were dressed in their costumes, ready with their plastic pumpkins, watching the US Presidential debate. America wasn’t really as attentive as he should have been, considering it was his country, but China was actually paying attention. He had reason to worry about it for the foreign affairs the nations held. The men kept debating and came across a matter involving the Eastern nation.

He hit the Western nation with his Hello Kitty plushy, looking scared out of his mind, terror visible in his eyes, and his usual skin tone looked like the color of bones from the fake skeleton hanging outside America’s door.

“What the hell, China? Hitting me with that thing won’t make it any softer!”

“It not that, you idiot!” China said. “It your bosses. They said they want to get tough on me! You know that would suck!”

“Hey, it’s not my fault!” America said as he dodged the plushie. “They’re  saying everything’s made in China and they think that’s why my economy’s going down!”

“Tell them to stop it! They scaring and making me mad at same time!”

“But I can’t stop them. I’m a country, and one of them’s going to be my boss. You don’t think that scares the shit out of me? Neither one’s gonna care if I argue,” America explained.

“You have a point there,” China sighed. “Just, try not get too tough on me because I know those bastards will order cuts be made.

“If they start with that subject again, I’m going to make sure Hello Kitty plushies never make it to your country,” China mumbled.

“You’re going to upset a lot of little girls,” America pointed out.

But in the same three minutes of argument, China was mentioned more than once, and America ended up paying for it by getting whacked until he saw feathers for stars.

Title: Told You So
Characters: America, Britain
Challenge: 13: Spook
Bonus Words: pumpkin, terror, bones
Rating: K+
Summary: Britain is scared for America when he is in the hospital.
A/N: The summary will give everything away, so I’ll leave it at that. I thought of this because it’s either going to happen, or the country’s going to realize their mistake a little too late.

Britain had observed America gorge himself up to the point of passing out, which took a lot of food to do. So it really didn’t surprise him when he saw it all go down. He had expected it to happen a lot sooner because of the growing fast food places in America, though.

America had a heart attack. So that pumpkin pie and burger had gotten to him in October, huh? He could only imagine the terror his friend must’ve felt, but witnessing it painted a clear picture. It looked like his eyes were trying to pop out of his sockets or something, and he was trying to reach out for something. All Britain could do was catch him and call the emergency number for attendance.

As he waited for an update from one of the doctors, Britain couldn’t help but feel anxious and worried. He had raised him after all, and had that affectionate tickle whenever he and America got closer than usual, so he really couldn’t let it go, even if he was independent and grown. He still cared and needed to know what would be his brother’s fate. However, waiting was impossible, which made his bones feel tight for some reason. He was just hoping America would miraculously make it out alive so he could learn to control his eating habits. And so he could continue to lecture/tease him about his weight.

His heart raced when a doctor finally came and told him of America’s state. The country would survive, but the fast food had to be cut from his diet. Britain, deciding to take responsibility (yet again) for America, would make sure of that and would make the younger boy eat properly whether he liked it or not. Fish and chips were a lot healthier than burgers, anyway.

Title: Telling You So
Characters: Spain, Mexico
Challenge: 13: Spook
Bonus Words: pumpkin, terror, bones
Rating: K+
Summary: Spain warns Mexico about her eating habits and then hears the news about America.

A/N: A complementary fic for Told You So! I think America is #1 in obesity and Mexico is #2. This is why I love them as my crack!pairing, but not for this fic, sadly.

“Don’t you want to watch what you eat?” Spain asked Mexico as he saw her eating pumpkin pie.

“But it tastes so good,” she said. “Have a piece! Have a taco!”

Spain made a face and rejected her offer, only causing her to continue eating.

“Seriously, Mexico, you have to be careful with all this stuff. You’ve been over eating just like America and you don’t want to have his obesity spot, right?” Spain prompted, hoping he would get some reaction out of her.

“That’s America’s way of living. And it’s mine also,” Mexico pointed out. “How am I supposed to keep up with all the innovative ways of cooking the world has to offer? I get their recipes and make them all Mexican. Like what we did to the hotdog and burger,” she explained.

Spain watched in disgust as Mexico ate another taco. “You do know America suffered a heart attack recently, right?”

Mexico dropped her taco. “Really?” she asked, terror lingering in her voice. “Why?”

“He ate too much fast food.”

“I don’t eat a lot of McDonald’s like him,” Mexico said.

“But your taco diet is pretty big, if you haven’t noticed. Your food is the equivalent to his food. And these cokes in glass bottles aren’t helping you, either.”

“You should be scared and worrying that I don’t choke on some stray chicken bones that can appear in my taco,” Mexico said. “Look, if America got a heart attack, too bad for him. It’s not like it’s going to happen to me.”

“Any time soon, that is,” Spain added. “Give me that damn taco! I don’t want for you to die!”

“I will only give it to you if you eat it,” Mexico proposed. “Otherwise, I will eat it.”

A/N: Don't mess with Mexicans when they're eating. You won't make us give up on our tacos!!
