(Hello everyone!)
Sometimes, I get extremely bored of studying Japanese and wish that there was some way to make it more fun. And that's when the sugar intake hit me. Link it to Muse! Now, I've wrote many essays or sakubun about Muse and Matt in particular (because I can) but now I want to share some lovely Muse knowledge with you, in the beautiful pain-on-the-arse language that is Japanese.
Now, when it comes to pronouncing them, that's a little trickier because Japanese syllables are read differently to English. To help, here's a quick little guide on how to pronounce the vowels:
Ah (a),
We (i)
Sue (u)
Get (e)
Old (o)
I'm sure that makes perfect sense, right? ^_^ Excellent, let's get started!
So! Firstly, the boys' names:
マシュー・ベラミー Pronounced: Mashuu Beramii (Or if you want, 'Matto' for Matt)

ドミニク・ハワード Pronounced: Dominiku Hawaado (The last 'do' is not like the verb 'to do' but like 'doe'. If you read my sexy vowel explanation, this will make sense. Again, it can be 'Domu' for Dom.)
1977年12月7日
クリス・ウォルステンホルム Pronounced: Kurisu Uorusutenhorumu (Yeah, that name is a bitch even in Japanese... I can't help with that xD)
1978年12月2日
トム・ケーク Pronounced: Tomu Ke-ku (I think this is right... neither the English or Japanese wikipedia had Tom. Serious problem, methinks. )
モーガン・ニコルズ Pronounced: Moogan Nikoruzu (NO, it's not MOO like a cow, it's sounded more like his actual name, 'Mor'.)
Next, the album names:
ショウビズ Pronounced: Shoubizu (This is the easiest to say and is the closest to the original.)
オリジン・オブ・シンメトリ Pronounced: Orijin Obu Shinmetori (Yeah, Obu, not Ofu. There is a legitimate reason, I promise.)
アブソルーション Pronounced: Abusoruushon
ブラック・ホールズ・アンド・レヴァレイションズ Pronounced: Burakku Hooruzu Ando Revareishonzu
ザ・レジスタンス Pronounced: Za Rejisutansu (The word 'the' is said like 'Za', bless. Almost in a dodgy French accent.)
Further 'important/大切-taisetsu' terms include the following:
ミューズ Pronounced: Myuuzu (It's a very cute word <3 )
ベールドム Pronounced: Beerudomu (I made this up, and it's not like the insect 'Bee' but 'bear')
ケイト・ハドソン Pronounced: Keito Hadoson (Don'tHate all you like, she's a cutie and I wrote about her in my essay <3 Mashu is gonna be a daddy - パパ- Papa xD)
テンマス Pronounced: Tenmasu (This, believe it or not, is how to say Teignmouth. I know, I was shocked D: )
