You scored as Capt. Mal Reynolds. The Captain. You are the captain of the ship, so the crew are your responsibility. You just want to do the job, get paid and keep flying. Why is that always so hard?

Hokay, first impressions...
Wednesday is definitely my busiest day. It may not seem like much compared to other people's scehdules, but it feels like a lot, after 3 months of no school... Psych 101 is from 9:30-10:20, Art 126 from 11:30-2:20, and Gen St 199 from 2:30-3:30.
Psych 101 is my only big lecture class -- and man, is it big. Over 400 students, mostly freshman and sophomores. The professer seems nice enough (even though his book cost 100 gorram dollars!), and it's only an hour a day. And I'm interested in the subject. As long as I don't fall asleep during lectures, I should be fine.
Art 126 consists only of me, the professer, the TA, and the rest of the FIG; only about 25 students in all. 3 hours is a bit long for my tastes, but hopefull yit will make up for it by being an interesting class. We spent the last hour so visiting the Henry Art Gallery, right next to campus. There was this really interesting exhibit, called 'pffft!' that consisted of hundreds of pipes and tubes and the sounds they created. It was really nifty; however, the Skyspace will probably end up being my favorite part of the museum. XD
It does make me wonder, however, if the Art major is really right for me. I mean, I absolutely love to draw; that isn't the problem. The problem is that I don't really see myself as an artist -- not a 'fine artist', anyway. I don't create peices in the hope of having shows at galleries and I've got no gift for abstract art. I draw to tell stories, essentially, which is really more an extention of an interest in writing and discussing. And to be honest, very little of what I know about drawing, especially drawing anime/comics/illustration styles, I actually learned in a classroom. Most of what I know about drawing and inking and photoshop, I taught myself. I never took a class in Manga 101; I did take classes in Comic Book Illustration over the summer, but the University doesn't offer classes in that; they don't even have a drawing/illustration major. I'm wondering if what I should really be doing is majoring in Psychology or Philosophy or English, and keep art as a hobby. Becaus really, my favorite class last year wasn't AP Art; it was AP English. I loved discussing and thinking (and doodling during class). It was my art teacher who would tell me to put the sketchbook away and try to focus on collages of acrylic paintings or videos about Jackson Pollock. I dunno... I'm just wondering if that's really for me.
Wow, tangent. And it's only the first day.
Last, Gen(eral) St(udies) 199. Again, this was me, everyone else from the FIG, and the 2 student leaders. The class is going to be about exploring and getting familair with campus life, from cluba to museums to libraries. But today, we mostly did ice-breakers, so that was nice. ^^;
Tomorrow looks to be much easier: Psych in the morning, then Art 120 (another lecture class, I believe) at 2:20. So yeah.
It's all of a sudden gotten grey and cloudy, and chilly; I expect it will rain soon. I look forward to it. ^^
