I'm baaaaaaack! (Again!)
Woohoo! Man, as fun as vacation was, it feels so good to be back! I missed the intarweb. And my friends. And my own bed. ♥
Unfortunately, I won't be back for long. XD On Thursday the 30th I head down to Anime Expo with xel_ko and voodoom. Should be fun! :D
Now, although this past week had a distinct lack of internet, it was very productive otherwise. Just look at all the arts I have to show you! (All pieces worksafe unless otherwise noted.)
Pencil
This first one is for coramegan; it's just a little sketch of the Ishvarite!Al from our RP. And yeah, this is the same Al I drew with Rick and Leo a little while ago. It's a rough sketch, but I'm proud of it.
This is just a little figure study of Martel, aka Let's See How Much Arel Remembers From Last Summer's Anatomy Classes. It's a quick, unreferenced drawing, and there are some definite errors, but I like it anyway. Not worksafe (female nudity).
A bit of a gift for laylah; more specifically, an incentive to get that second chapter of "Wanting Too Much" done soon! This is a little character study for her version of Lust. (I took complete liberties with nodes, clothes, just about everything. Hope that's okay.)
This one actually dates back to Fanime. I kept trying to draw Roy and Hughesmunculus, but for some reason it kept not working out. This is probably the best of my attempts. The bodies wound up being disproportionately small (which is why I cropped them out) but I like the expressions. (And I have to mention that dirtybeautiful managed to capture perfectly everything I love about this pairing; go read Travel Scars and see what I mean.)

Another picture for laylah. This is the one I promised her for finally getting through her Project Of Doom. Some of you may not get the jokes, but hopefully you'll enjoy the chibis, anyway.
Color
These two pages are my birthday present for pinstripesuit. Happy birthday, baby! (slightly not worksafe, but nothing beyond PG.) Done with Prismacolor pencils.
Now, this one I will actually bother to explain. A few months ago lukassa posted in fma_yaoi, and elsewhere, requesting fic that crossed over FMA with the movie "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade". At the time I didn't feel properly inspired to do much on it, but a few weeks ago I rewatched that movie, and realized there are an awful lot of bits that sync up nicely, especially with the relationship between Edward and his dad, and Indy and his dad. Anyway, after that, I felt properly inspired to do not fic, but art. It's nothing fancy, just a sort of recasted movie poster colored with Prismacolors. But I worked hard on it, and I'm pleased with how it came out.
A couple notes about this... on the original poster, at the bottom of the picture it had Indy riding a horse, galloping towards the camera ahead of a lot of desert vehicles and a low-flying airplane. I've replaced it with this scene instead, because 1) I can't draw horses, 2) I'm not sure Ed's tall enough to ride a horse, and 3) Zeppelins! (Even though this wound up looking more like a blimp. >_> )
So, complete (more or less) recasting...
