Man, what was in that Advil?
This day has gone by SO FAST, you guys. I felt like I was taking off work early, even though I worked my normal shift, and I didn't feel tired or sluggish at all. I must have gotten some really good sleep or something. (And I even stayed up later than normal last night, doing swingin' hip things like organizing my music collection, cos that's how I roll.)
I saw Thor on Tuesday with
mimerki, and oh my God, you guys, it was everything I hoped for. Ever since Marvel got their own studio, I've been consistently pleased with their movie output, and while I don't know if I like Thor better than the Iron Man movies (I mean, Robert Downey Jr as Tony Stark is pretty much perfection), I do like it an awful lot. And in some ways, it's definitely superior in my book: Being heavily based around Norse mythology (obviously) is one point in its favor, and not having any disruptive moments of surprise!misogyny is another. (My absolute favorite thing about the movie was seriously the way Sif dressed. I mean, Sif was awesome in all kinds of ways, but the fact that she got to kick ass in armor that actually MAKES SENSE and COVERS ALL HER BITS was just delightful for me).
Also saw a bunch of movie trailers that got me all excited: Cowboys & Aliens (because Daniel Craig in a cowboy hat); PotC: On Stranger Tides (because Geoffrey Rush); Captain America (because everything ever); and X-Men: First Class (because everything ever WITH SEXY YOUNG MAGNETO). YEAH. Basically there was a lot of my ovaries going FUCKS YES and me going NO YOU LIKE GIRLS and them going WHATEVER BITCH.
Lastly (but not leastly) I wanted to say THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU to everyone for the wonderful birthday wishes. ♥ I'm so grateful.
