Need to figure out precisely when and where, but I want to at least see who's interested.

Oh dear god. The drawings, they are marvelous. I lulz'd so hard. ToT Some of the worst anatomy I've ever seen PUBLISHED. Christ. So out of proportion and... I mean, has he even see humans before?

And this is coming from someone who loves her exaggerated buff mancandy. I do. I mean, Hagiwara Kazushi who draws Bastard!! accentuates body parts all the time-- uber-buff muscles, huge breasts, but he does it with a little know-how.... he applies his physics... which makes it a STYLE not a flaw. ^o^

Why is it that he's published? I know tons of amateurs better than him. Good artists can't get jobs. -____-

Exactly! You need to know the rules before you can break them. Whereas Liefeld is just convinced that he's awesome and doesn't need to improve, and is just a colossal wanker all around, from what I hear.

I think most people try to forget the late '80s / early 90s just never happened, as far as comics go. XD It's easier on everyone that way.

I have the early issues of such gems as Liefeld-drawn X-Force, Youngblood, and the other splattery badly drawn Liefeld Image stuff.

... I was 13. What do you want from me?

(I feel a little bad mocking someone else's art because I'm not any better an artist, but I suppose, at least, I'm aware of it, and not trying to be a pro.)

*nod* Yeah... right now I'm looking at the Cinerama and the Pacific Place theaters, which have showings at 6 and 6:30... and the soonest showing after that is at 9, which is a bit late for those who have finals the next day... We'll have to see how it works out. I hope you can come, though!

I feel significantly better about myself as an artist.

If only because I am not being paid to draw like that. One would hope, hope, that if you were being paid, you'd be better than that. APPARENTLY NOT?

Sadly, must pass on the movie, as both my finals are next saturday and I'll probably be studying.

I know, right? D: When my art mojo is down, I can always feel better by saying to myself, "Self, we may not be the best artist ever, but at least we're not Rob Liefeld! We can draw feet!"

Ah... *wince* yeah, good luck with that. At least you'll be getting them over with quickly?
