hey guys, how the hell are ya?
hope your first day of band camp went really well. despite the rain. i can't remember very well but my senior year band camp might have started out rainy just like this one. don't let it get you down, things'll clear up and it'll feel as though you're actually doing stuff very soon.
my continued encouragement to your intrepid leadership staff, may you lead this band and all its newcomers through a very successful band camp and consequently a successful marching season.
freshmen! work hard and don't give up. all this stuff you're doing will be well worth it in the end.
sophomores and juniors, you're feeling a little in the middle right now. you've seen it all before, but don't let the experience become any less for you! you have younger ones behind you that need all your enthusiasm to get them pumped and excited for this activity.
seniors. it's your last high school band camp, possibly the last band camp you'll ever have if you choose not to continue it in college. make the most of it, and lead the way for everyone else, even if you aren't on leadership.
that's about it. expect a visit from me soon, i'm excited to see what the 2006 sound of the braves have in store for this year.
