Mwahahahah, Team Free Will is going to get SO MUCH TEASING from Ellen and Jo. Especially Dean and Castiel, what with all the "profound bond" moments hanging around. And I quite like the name for the baby -- it suggests some interesting things about Castiel's mindset that the name means "God is my judge." Mebbe that's also Castiel's attitude toward his rebellion against the fuddy-duddies in Heaven.

I have to admit that I also really, really look forward to Lucifer's reaction to the baby. I personally imagine lonely uncle Lucifer taking one look at cuddly-puppy-eyes of the baby and adopting him immediately, however unrealistic that is. XD

I’ve only read a few fics that show Dean/Cas from the Harvelles POV, but I have to say that I’ve usually enjoyed them. Just fun to see them from an outsider’s POV, watching all the ‘profoundly bonded’ behavior without knowing all the nuances of the Dean/Cas friendship.

I admit, I never thought of it this way, but I love that! And if anyone asks, I’m totally saying that’s why I went with Daniel ;) But seriously, very awesome and astute observation.

We definitely haven’t seen the last of Lucifer! :D

Oh he has a name <3 and a lovely one at that; I loved Cas' reason for giving him that name <3 is he warming up to the little boy?? Or just treating him nice because he's an extention of Dean? I don't care, i love how thing are evolving...and I can't wait to find out how the heck they are going to deal with over fifty wendigos O.o it would be a challenge even without the baby...Can't wait :D

Glad you like the baby's name! Really, with baby names it's usually 'aw, I love it!' or 'eeeeeh, well it's your kid, name him/her whatever you want (and I'm glad I'm not your kid!)'. I've always been fond of 'Daniel' myself, but for a Dean/Cas kid, it made so much sense.

I'm glad that Dean had Cas name the baby. I love the name Daniel. I can still understand Cas being stand-offish towards him since his birth almost killed Cas, but I'm hoping he eventually warms up to him.

I'd kind of like to punch Bobby. They have a BABY with them Bobby, give them a break. They're not superhumans and Cas isn't powered up either. Very happy to see another update on this fic. I am loving it!

Really glad you hear that you guys like the name Daniel for this little guy :) And now that this chapter's up, I can stop worrying about accidentally calling him Daniel before you guys read the naming of him!

I guess I just see Bobby's point here more than you do... hello, end of the world, not really time for a hiatus from hunting. But then, Bobby doesn't know the WHOLE truth about Daniel yet ;)

Aww, I love that Cas got onboard with choosing the baby's name, and that he actually had some reasoning behind his choice.

Bobby's awesome as always. Can't wait to see Ellen and Jo's reaction to this!

At least this way, the little guy was spared being named "Bobby John"... bleck! Castiel did so much better :)

Ellen and Jo... heh, it's like a slow introduction of the hunting world to Daniel Winchester!
