every time he called out for Castiel and the angel didn’t show.

JFC, one of the things that is so ticking me off about this whole set-up for S6 is that we are supposed to believe that Castiel spent a whole year ignoring Dean’s call… because I don’t for one freaking second believe that there wouldn’t have been times when Dean did call out to Cas in his grief. Just adds another tick in the minus column WRT the massive characterization fails of Swan Song and the set-up to this season. Grrrrr.

But… totally i-c for Dean to be so consumed with what’s going on with Sam as to not see Cas’s own despair. Cas… oh my heart. I want to hug him [and do other things to comfort him, of course]. I love the fact he needs peace and he goes to Dean. Because he loves Dean so very much, of course. I love how you underlie this with the fact that they do both need each other…

The Show really does a disservice to fandom making canon crap like that (Cas ignoring Dean's calls). Seriously, sometimes I think fandom knows these characters better than Show does, and if Show would just stop fucking up our chi, we could get on with writing it the right way... because in my mind, no way in HELL did Cas just ignore Dean for a year.

And I totally agree... the things I'd like to do to Cas to 'comfort' him would have him making the same deer-in-headlights look he had at the brothel!! :D

Oh god. I just feel that this story can be great. I hope it will. And honestly where the hell where you last year? Why werent you in Gambles place in the SPN writing room. THis. This is what SUpernatural needed all season six! you wrote at Warning Pre-Slash... so its basically gen. You know since SPN in canon is like always pre-slash. ^^

Believe you me, I wish I had been in Sera Gamble's place for SO many reasons (like finally doing the 'Dean and Sam go undercover at a nudist colony' ;), but especially to have the power to fix Dean/Cas in canon.
