planes. trains. and automobiles.

this has been the most uneventful spring break ever. don't get me wrong, i enjoyed my first half of spring break at home in bergen. i love spending time at home, just sitting on my fat ass, eating massive amounts of food, watching tv, and sleeping [then do it over again the next day]. but the second half of spring break was totally zzz-worthy. being the loser that i am, i've been reading people's journals on how they've just gotten back from spring break from one tropical island or another or are about to go somewhere tropical or somewhere european. that shit makes me gag. why can't i be somewhere like that? grrrr. instead, i'm stuck in this snow one day, sunny another day atmosphere. another bad thing about spring break is that i had to work. it was my choice b/c i need the loot to pay bills. another big blah to bills. i hate you credit cards, cell phone, rent, utilities, car payments, etc etc. they go on forever i tell you.

something to correlate with the above paragraph. sometimes, i take the train to go to work. other times i hitch a ride with my roommate. yesterday i took the train, and when i was heading home. there were madd people carrying suitcases [i was taking the 5:07 local to new york, which also made a stop at ewr]. i witnessed the cutest thing in the world. a mother must've been going on some trip, and even though the train wasn't going to leave for another 5 minutes or so her husband and small son stuck around to see the mother off. it was soo cute. her husband would make heart symbols with his hands, or would touch his heart and say i love you. and the son would just wave, giggle, and yell 'mommy'. it was the cutest thing ever. ...which leads me to that same question. why can't i be going somewhere? grrrr..

one thing i noticed, and this is sure as hell super certified gay in my books.. but n.j. transit trains are ugly and dirty. every train in the world is dirty, but for some odd reason, i think n.j. transit has ugly trains. amtrak must be nice. [i've only been in one, and that was for an illegal ride.. bwhahaha.. jen and i were goin to the yankee parade, and we hopped on board the amtrak b/c we didn't notice it wasn't a nj transit.. thank God no one didn't fine us b/c i had no xtra loot that day.. hahaha].. i like the long distance trains in europe, such as eurostar [from london to paris] and thalys [from paris to amsterdam].. [this blog is making me reminisce about europe.. how i want to go back.. *sniff*] acela must be nice too..

so that leads me to.. what's your choice of transportation? planes, trains, or automobiles. me? i choose automobiles for trips less than 6hours. there's only so much sitting i can take in a car. trains, i think i'll only take them in europe b/c of the scenic route. planes are okay.. sometimes i get a bit scared of being in a plane for more than 20 hours [aka going to the philippines].. but if that's the only way to cross the ocean, then i'll take it.. i sure as hell would rather be a FOP than a FOB.. LOL* plus, the food they serve on Asiana, Koreana, and Northwest, has gotten a whole lot better. and the in-flight movies are awesome.. hahaha

that's all for now folks.. toodles*

do you like my many tangents in this blog?
