My (second-hand) iBook G4 seems to be developing a habit of sending itself to sleep randomly, and then refusing to wake up. Last time it did this when I was in full flow at Goldsmiths' Hall archive; this time, when I got to London Metropolitan Archives, I never even got started. Infuriating. Last time, I let it run down completely (while still asleep) and it started up again well enough, though it is under the impression that it's 2001, and it won't let me reset the date. Otherwise it seems fine - still has all documents it should have, and so forth. Does anyone have any ideas as to what might be wrong/what I should do/when I should start pestering my parents to get me a new one (cos I can't afford it myself)?
