If you know me, you know I love Italian food-- especially anything with lots of tomatoes, basil, and cheese. Best combination of flavors eveeer... give me just that chopped up with some balsalmic vinegar and olive oil and I will go to TOWN...
Last weekend was the Phi Sigma Rho annual Big/Lil cook-off. Each family team made an appetizer, an entree, and a dessert. My team with Big Sis Char and Twin Grace made a 3-course meal.
Appetizer: Green onions mixed with mayonaise on toasted white bread, topped with cheese.
Main Course:
Chicken parmesanDessert: Strawberry-topped
Red Velvet cupcakes with cream cheese frostingAnd... we won best overall! :D Woot!
Last weekend was also Impulse, the semi-formal to close off UCSD's engineering week. Check out this super prom-y photo of D-tran (we have to call him that since I hang out with 6 different Daniels regularly) and me.
Yay.
So I just got home from a science leadership conference at USD for 6th-10th grade girls from the San Diego area. After today, I know that I definitely do not want to teach in the 8th grade level. Middle schoolers are just as horrible now as back when we were still in the middle of it...
Bleh. Anyway. I gotta study. Or go to the grocery store and buy more vegetables. I gave up meats (except fish) for Lent-- I'm no any sort of Christian denomination, but I do it out of moral support for Heather, who is indeed Catholic. So far it's not too bad... I'm just hungry all of the time. ><
Cheers~!
