totally yay
so this weekend was pretty cool. on saturday night i went to LAG to see one of their operas with kir. it was a classic greek tragedy. "Dido and Aenaes"- fallen trojan hero falls for mourning carthage queen, random sorceress feels compelled to challenge their relationship and ultimately doom it completely, both love partners are sent tainted visions of a doomed relationship from the sorceress, queen tells hero to leave, sad again she takes a swig of poison and leaves her people without a queen. END SCENE. depressing and pretty amazing. anywho,
sunday family came over for a bbq which i didnt eat much cause i felt kinda sick. slept a little bit after family left, kinda felt better. went to the city for a 9:55 showing of "goodbye lenin" with scott. caught a pretty freaking late ferry back, lets just leave it at that. and both of us are less coherent and relevant as the night becomes morning. after a pathetic hand-bop, scott dropped me off and i fell onto my bed in my tshirt cause i was too sleepy to fully undress and find my pjs. wasnt too tired to set my fucking alarm clock for 9.
woke up and headed to NY Chinese Scholars Garden around 930, where, i can happily and proudly say, i work now. wahoo. its pretty awesome, although i have to brush up on my tour giving skills. but alas, i get a cool tshirt and free chop sticks. yay for summer employment. and now im damn well tired. and well theres no school for me tomorrow because i have a doctors appointment. the only time im happy to have an appointment. p.s. hello to those in AP CHEM. heh. losers.
P.S. Phish disbanded last week...and i got sad...for like a second, its not like theyre never gonna play again. although i know a certain few self absorbed people who are totally mourning. get over it its not like they died.
