The woman who will become my mother in law thinks that I am a religious nutjob. That's... certainly interesting.
Michael was explaining to her that I wasn't feeling 100% comfortable working where I am, because since I insisted on taking Sundays off, my work environment deteriorated. Apparently, she's decided that choosing not to work Sundays is 'just stupid'.
In a weird sort of way, I find it a lot easier to deal with that than it was to deal with my boss 'just not getting' it. This seems odd to me, primarily, because, long term, it matters a lot more what my mother in law thinks of me than what my boss at the temporary, part time job where I work. The only reason I can come up with for this is that, at least conceptually, it's potentially appropriate for me to discuss the reasoning behind and substance of, my religious beliefs with my mother in law, in a way that it isn't genteel to do with my boss. Maybe?
