Ups and downs. Such is life.

Best thing happened the other night.
Mike came over, because we want to get Cash Only back on its feet and learn a few new songs, so Mike arrives, we sit down and chat and all is good. Next thing I know, my buzzer rings. I wasn't expecting anyone, so I was a little confused. Mike quickly said, "Oh, didn't I mention, I didn't get to eat earlier tonight so I ordered a pizza". I thought that was a little funny, considering I wouldn't expect him to remember my address off the top of his head, but started looking forward to food  (I was a little hungry). So there is a knock on the door. Mike just sits there. I was kind of confused, thinking, "okay, do I have to PAY for this pizza too?". I got up and opened the door, and there was no pizza, there was a Jason!!! I yelped and gave him a big hug. It was great. We all sat down and talked a bunch, about life and the band and our plan. It was fantastic.

Then yesterday, I was supposed to meet up with a friend of mine for coffee. I've had a really hard time in the past while getting together with her; October was not the kindest month on my brain, and it has driven me nuts for a LONG time, that every time she wants to get together, she is consistantly late. One of my biggest pet peeves is being kept waiting. So it went like this:

1:30 - had stayed at Evan's place the night before. Rushed up the hill to my place to be there for quarter to two (2 being our meeting time).
2:10 - I'm getting a little antsy, but buses can make people late, I get that.
2:15 - I get a call "Oh hey, I JUST got off the phone with my mother. Could not let her go. I'm leaving now." So, knowing that she hadn't even LEFT her house yet, I get *the tone* and say "Alright, I'll see you soon".
FIVE MINUTES TO THREE - I get a text message "Bus was 7 minutes late and then just drove right by me. I owe you a coffee for being so late"
I stare at the message on the phone, completely infuriated. If this was the first time it had happened, I wouldn't be so upset. But this happens EVERY SINGLE TIME. My thumbs flying, I write back, "Don't bother. I have other things to do. You can't keep doing this to me all the time. It isn't fair."
3:10 - I get one more text: "Well, I'm downtown already, but don't worry, I won't bother you." (I could almost HEAR the snarl in that comment)

I mean really. After a month of not seeing me and then wanting to so badly, could she not just TRY to be on time? People who are perpetually late have control issues. Be it conscious or subconscious, they know that they have the upper hand when they keep people waiting. I was a pushover for too long, and I'm not taking it anymore.

Anyway...
Next week is going to be cr-a-zy!

Monday I cover Alexis's teen jazz class. Tuesday is a Cash Only rehearsal. Wednesday I cover Alexis's musical theatre class, then Kym's ITP2 jazz class. Thursday are all Kym's classes: ITP3 and two adult beginner jazz. Friday is ITP advanced, and then Saturday is my last day of the term at Neptune. Zoinks! A bottle of wine on Saturday night will be WELL deserved! Can't complain though. All of this dancing is making me forget that my acting career is at a standstill.
